Patient Care Services
Kindred Hospitals use a multidisciplinary team approach to care that helps our patients return to the highest quality of life possible. Our areas of patient care services include:
Pulmonary Rehab
The aim of our pulmonary rehab team is to determine your capacity for respiratory recovery and then help you reach your fullest level of function. Our rehab regimen includes testing, education, breathing retraining and nutritional counseling.
Brain Injury
Brain injuries can be as sudden as they are devastating. Our interdisciplinary approach to caring for patients with brain injuries includes all aspects of rehabilitation and recovery.
Case Management
Our case management team coordinates and facilitates the transfer of patients to our hospital from referral sources such as skilled nursing centers and standard-care hospitals.
Diagnostic Imaging
Skilled and certified technicians operate our imaging equipment, and we make every effort to perform the testing in as prompt and as convenient a manner as possible.
Dialysis
Our interdisciplinary team of dialysis specialists includes physicians, nurses, technicians and dietitians who strive to help you meet the challenges of dialysis with comfort and dignity, and continue to live a full, active life.
Direct Admission
For your convenience, our hospital accepts direct admissions from an Extended Care Facility, Skilled Nursing Center and Physician Office.
Endoscopy
An endoscope is a flexible, lighted tube that, when inserted into the digestive system, transmits images of the inside of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum, allowing the physician to carefully examine the lining of these organs. Our endoscopy team works to make you as comfortable as possible before, during and after the procedure.
Pain Management
We feature a variety of treatments designed to ease chronic pain conditions that may result from an accident, infection or sprain.
Rehabilitation
The rehabilitation process is designed to help strengthen and restore a patient’s ability to live and work as normally as possible after a disabling injury or illness. Contact us for detailed rehab program information.
Physicians
Your physician, a member of the medical staff, is responsible for the course of your clinical treatment. Your physician will make the necessary arrangements for laboratory X-rays, medications, special diets, and any other treatment or service.
Nursing
The Department of Nursing strives to provide high-quality nursing care. Care plans are created through the teamwork of nurses, physicians, therapists and specialists in other disciplines; services are provided around the clock to meet each individual’s unique needs.
Respiratory Therapists
Our team of respiratory therapists evaluates, treats and manages patients with cardiopulmonary problems, along with offering preventive care. All care is provided under the direction of the medical staff.
Radiology

Pharmacy
Our staff of licensed pharmacists is an integral part of the overall patient care team. They prepare medications and provide special dietary supplements necessary for proper nutrition.

Our dietitian assures your nutritional needs are met and diets are prepared as ordered by your physician. In addition, the dietitian will perform periodic assessments and will monitor your nutrition plan throughout your stay. Please make the dietitian aware of your food preferences, dislikes or any food allergies you may have.
Physical Therapy
Under the direction of your physician, the hospital’s physical therapists evaluate, treat and provide rehabilitation for muscular, skeletal, neurological, and circulatory diseases. They are an integral part of the rehabilitation process.
Occupational Therapy
Increasing patients’ strength, endurance, and coordination is the goal of the occupational therapy staff. Their work helps promote independence in daily living skills, such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Speech Therapy
When required, a licensed speech and language pathologist will provide therapy to help you regain speaking and swallowing skills.
Social Services
To support you during and after hospitalization, a wide range of social services is provided, including counseling, discharge planning, referrals to community agencies, and assistance in securing medical equipment for use at home. Family members can also take part in counseling.
